Dr William Worrall Mayo (1819- 1911) was an English immigrant to the United States during the mid-1840.
He was an innovative and forward-thinking prominent pioneer & leader in medicine. Together with his two sons they developed the family practice into today’s Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
This sculpture was created for the entrance hall of the Mayo Clinic in London.
