I inspired this sculpture from an antique 1910 mechanical Bing German Teddy Bear. The traditional Bing Bear was distinguishable by its long nose and pronounced humpback.
With a worn look, darned nose, and many threadbare places, this bronze sculpture is a fun object that revives nostalgic memories of our childhood teddy bears but also raises questions about the agency of materials.
